I have never been a health-conscious person. As a kid I was a picky eater, and by picky, I mean “I want a cheeseburger, but without the cheese” type of picky eater. But as a kid, I was still full of energy and moved around so much that gaining weight wasn’t really a thing.
Of course when we become adults things can go downhill. We get busy, we start families, we develop bad habits. So last week I decided that I was tired of it. I want to enjoy my life, but at the same time, I want to enjoy it as long as possible. That means getting off a bunch of weight, that means re-learning self-control and portion control. I’ll be making a lot of posts about this journey including weekly and monthly reviews as to how the journey is progressing. I also have started a separate fitness Instagram for this specifically. All of these are in hope to hold myself accountable and find a support system not only for myself, but to contribute to supporting others as well in their own journeys.
